A36/Q235/S235JR Carbon Steel Plate
2024-08-06
A36 is a low-carbon steel containing trace amounts of other elements such as manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, and copper. A36 has good weldability and high yield strength, and is the structural steel plate designated by engineers. ASTM A36 steel plates are typically manufactured into various structural steel components. This grade is used for welding, bolted or riveted structures of bridges and buildings, as well as for general structural purposes. Due to its low yield point, A36 carbon plates can be used to design lighter structures and equipment, and provide good weldability. Construction, energy, heavy equipment, transportation, infrastructure, and mining are commonly used industries for A36 panels.
